Biography

I am a pathogen molecular biologist with 21 years’ professional experience. I hold a PhD in infectious diseases and tropical medicine from the LSHTM, UK. I am using my skills to develop informed control strategies to control infectious diseases. I am the founder and coordinator of the Sudanese Research Group on Venomous and Poisonous Organisms.

In addition to this, I advocate for Open access as the EIFL.net Sudan Open Access Coordinator and I am the current Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygine Sudan ambassador.
