Overall average Grade: A. The Subjects covered in the taught courses were: Medical Entomology, Molecular Entomology, Virology, Epidemiology and Immunology, Biostatistics and National programs.

Teaching Assistant: 2013- 2018, University of Khartoum, Faculty of Science:

  • Responsible of conducting and teaching practical sessions for undergraduates (First year, Third year) and graduates M.Sc. candidates (M.Sc. of Medical Entomology and vector control and M.Sc. of Molecular Biology).
  • Teaching Biology laboratory sessions for first year students, Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry.
  • Conducting Practical Sessions exams.
  • Participating in the annual field trips of Zoology Department students (Third year field trip to Alsabaloga cataract, Fourth year field trip to Dinder National Park).

Professional experience:

- Researcher Assistant, 2008- 2009, Institute of Endemic Diseases, Department of Molecular Biology.

During my training period, I used a number of protocols to extract DNA and RNA from different tissue samples. Carried out Polymerase Chain Reaction, gel electrophoresis and the use of gel documentation system. Also, the training involved field work for samples collection.

- Member of the research team studying Insect’s diversity and composition within El Musawwarat area, 2010- 2012, University of Khartoum. Project funded by the Ministry of Higher Education.

Languages: Arabic (Mother tongue)

                   English (Fluent, IELTS score 7.5)

Computer skills: Good command of Microsoft Office suite.

Communication skills: Strong communication skills and aliquant. My skills are gained from working as a lecturer at university of Khartoum. I taught freshmen year classes as well as working with small groups in third and fifth year.
