Toxicogenomics & Bioinformatics Unit

This unit studies the genetic and molecular basics of venomous, poisonous and toxic organisms, the different types of venoms and toxins, and the optimal methods for producing vaccines.

 

The basic unit objectives are:

  • Study the genetic basis of venomous, poisonous and toxic species.
  • Study the structural genomics of venoms and toxins.
  • Deep analysis of information using bioinformatics.
  • Discovering markers that are useful for studying venoms and toxins and producing vaccines.
  • Mathematical modeling to predict the behavior of venoms, toxins and pollutants.
  • Training of qualified scientists and researchers
